Steve Baxter graduated near the topmost portion of his graduating class at Richardson High School in 1970, after being chosen as Junior Class President, the Junior Class Favorite, Senior Class President plus Mr. RHS.

Steve graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. degree in 1974 with a 3.7 grade point average . He was on the Dean’s List for all every semester and majored in History with minors in Philosophy and Greek. Steve was President of Friday Evening Tape Class.

Watching his son Andrew Baxter play on the Pearce High School basketball team for example, was an exciting time in Dallas Steve Baxter Steve’s life.

Andrew Baxter’s Dad, Steve, was normally filming the game since Andrew’s brother Brennan was the senior point guard. Steve observed how animated the bench was and how much joy they were having, so he started filming the bench more than the basketball game. Andrew Baxter was a point guard, and worked very hard during his high school basketball career on Pearce’s team. This hard work and diligence taught him some of the character traits required to succeed in life.




Andrew Baxter always loved Young Life in high school. The group met weekly, went on summer and winter camps, and encouraged its students in their Christian faith. But BUCS was similar to Young Life at the next level, fellowship for college students anxious to combine their college experience with their Christian walk.
